RE-FRESH Program

Interventions in remote areas

Apply the developed solutions in remote and poorly infrastructure rural areas vulnerable to climate crisis, water scarcity, and soil degradation.

A strategic spin-off expected from RE-FRESH involves the possibility of applying the developed solutions in remote and poorly infrastructure rural areas, which are particularly vulnerable to the combined effects of the climate crisis, water scarcity, and soil degradation.

The objective is to develop water treatment, biogas production, and soil restoration solutions for low-tech, decentralized, rural, and semi-arid contexts.

Treatments will target real agricultural effluents and freshwater affected by increasing salinity and contamination. The outputs will support replicable, community-driven water treatment models for vulnerable territories.
