Chouaïb Doukkali University (UCD), Morocco develops innovative photocatalysts from local materials and evaluates effluent phytotoxicity through crop-based tests, including germination, root development, and hypocotyl elongation. These assessments are essential for determining the agronomic viability and long-term sustainability of the proposed technologies. As leader of WP5, UCD conducts toxicological studies and field trials, while contributing to effluent characterization, catalyst design, oxidative treatments, and prototype development, ensuring sustainable, agronomic solutions for rural contexts.
