The RE-FRESH consortium met at IC2MP, University of Poitiers, from 30 September to 2 October 2026 to discuss the project’s vision, objectives and implementation strategy.
The RE-FRESH Kick-off Meeting was successfully held in France from 30 September to 2 October 2026 at the IC2MP, University of Poitiers. The event officially marked the launch of the “REsilient agriFood system through REuse and Safe Handling of effluents” project, funded under the PRIMA programme.
Partners from France, Italy, Morocco, Slovenia, and Tunisia came together to discuss the project’s vision, objectives, and implementation strategy. The meeting provided an important platform for scientific exchange on wastewater reuse, sustainable water management, and resilient agrifood systems.
The different partner teams presented their expertise, contributions, and expectations for the upcoming project activities. The official event poster, presented below, highlights the integrated RE-FRESH approach, combining water reuse, green energy, biofertilizers, and soil health. The Kick-off also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among the consortium partners and clarify the responsibilities associated with the different Work Packages.
This first meeting therefore represents a key milestone in establishing strong international cooperation towards innovative, sustainable, and resilient solutions for water management and agrifood systems.
